There were 393 photos uploaded and tagged with #NiftyColourProjectII for the orange week, we were absolutely blown away by the submissions last week and had a really tough time narrowing down the winners. Kinda felt bad for the adidas team who had to choose the overall winner! Anshuman Ghosh aka @moography on Instagram was the ultimate winner of the super cool Stan Smiths. Check out the rest of the winners of Nifty vouchers below.. If you need a recap of the rules they’re over here. Now onto the yellow week
The winner of the Adidas Stan Smiths for red week was none other than @meghanmaconochie with this amazing pencil shaving artwork of the actual Stan Smiths, and she says her Instagram career pretty much started last year with the Nifty Colour Project. How cool?
This has fast become one of the most anticipated competitions in the Nifty Studio! We love scrolling through our Instagram feed and seeing all your beautiful entries – from poolside lounging to amazing origami and pencil shaving, we can definitely say there have been many creative entries over the last two weeks – red is our colour so we had to give it just a little bit of extra love!
This year we have teamed up with Adidas to make things even more interesting. Each week they will be choosing their favourite photograph from the week, and that person will win a pair of their highly coveted and hard to come by, Stan Smith sneakers. Plus any image that we regram will win a Nifty250 voucher!
We are super excited to show you all the amazing Red entries from the last two weeks, so without further ado here they are..
Yay so last week was basically a test run start of the #NiftyColourProjectII – thanks to @adidasza it’s going to be even more exciting this time around.. The rules are the same, every week on a Monday morning we’ll announce the week’s colour, this week being red obvs. During the week you get to upload photos to Instagram where red is the main or pop of colour and include the hashtag. If we are obsessed with your snap & regram it on our profile you’ll win a Nifty voucher for x30 Polaroid-style prints (delivery not included) however there is now an additional prize for the ultimate best photograph of the week, as chosen by the adidas team, a pair of super-cool-must-have-need-want Stan Smiths! The overall winner for each colour will be announced every Friday afternoon, are you excited or what? The overall winner maybe someone that we’ve selected as one of our favourites, or it could be a completely different entry, we’re leaving it up to the adidas team. Okay now that you’ve got the super simple rules, let’s play
Okay this little button is way overdue, but we’ve moved developers and have finally settled with a great team and have oh so many new sparkly shiny things coming to the Nifty online store soon, but first let’s deal with local collection. A lot of you in the past have emailed to come and collect your package from our studio in Woodstock, and it’s totes fun cos A) you save the R35 courier fee B) you get your batch quicker because you don’t have to wait for the couriers to deliver it C) you get to meet us D) we get to meet you!
We’re super excited that the Nifty team is moving on up and growing yet again, we’re looking to hire someone new and just maybe that person is you? The role we are looking to fill is for someone who will be critical in terms of the production process, from printing orders, to labelling, dealing with our courier company and helping to write personal notes, you’ll also be onboard to help with customer service, to ensure our customers are happy and totally satisfied with our service. It’s a junior role, for now, but as the business grows so will your position.
Things we expect, you need to already know and love the brand inside out, we’re looking for someones who knows us better than we know ourselves, and can help us first maintain and then improve our level of customer service and production quality. You need to be super organised and quite frankly a little bit OCD when it comes to the smallest details. We believe the devil is in the details and we like things to be 100% perfect, okay maybe we’ll settle for 99.9%, we’re only human! You need to know your way around a computer and printer, we definitely won’t be throwing you in the deep end, but you gotta know the basics. Whilst we’ll be training you up, you need to be a quick learner and rather resourceful.
The person we’re looking to hire is ambitious and a total go-getter, we want you to show us how we can streamline and improve our service and the production process, as well as come up with cool concepts to constantly improve our customer service. You need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – grammar and spelling are extremely important to us!
You don’t necessarily need past work experience or a degree, but you need to show us that you are ambitious and going places, also having a cool Instagram account definitely won’t hurt! Having your own transportation however is a must – we’re based in Woodstock, Cape Town and this is a full time job, 9:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
If you think you’re the right person for the job, please email your CV, a 1 page motivational letter and your Instagram handle to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ‘A rather Nifty job’ – closing date to send through your details is the 27th of March. Successful candidates will be emailed to set up telephonic and sit down interviews!
