We’ve been green with envy following Keagan’s Greece trip, after 3 weeks of watching & liking, we had to have her take over our Instagram account for the weekend. By day Keagan works in PR for Adidas South Africa, and by night she is the curator and blogger behind Gold Creatures which features lookposts by herself as well as that of her boyfriend. She graduated from Fedisa school of fashion design last year – fashion, photography, design and illustration are her passions. She likes to think that her kitten keeps her grounded and sane. We caught up with Keagan to chat blogging, favourite Instagram editing apps, Greek food & Oppikoppi

They say that travel is the only thing you can buy, that makes one richer – and although it’s full pace ahead for us at the Nifty studio (we’re just getting started) we love to stalk some of our favourite Instagrammers and watch your travels via our favourite social network, Instagram of course. In the past few months we watched, a little green with envy as Misha, the blogger behind Brandslut traversed the world, from New York, to Florence and a quick stop in the Seychelles.

Unfortunately we couldn’t make it to the Knysna Oyster Festival this weekend and when we saw that Falafels mama (remember we interview Falafels as part of our Pets of Instagram series) was on her way we just had to have her do the latest Nifty Weekend Takeover! She showed us the view as she hiked across the Featherbed reserve, the turquoise waters at the Knysna Heads, explored Knsyna’s nifty caves and ate lots of oysters.

PS if you have have ahmazing weekend plans, or are traveling somewhere special and would like to do a #NiftyWeekendTakeover please email your details to

Jess also known as The Fashion Freckle (read her blog here) has been livin’ it up in Europe this past week and thus we just had to have her do a Nifty Weekend Takeover (see Kristen Duff’s & Sune de Bruyn’s) as she galavanted through Florence.. She stopped off to see some beautiful artworks, had a proper Italian cooking class, ate real gelato – think caramel panna cotta, oh & she also worked it all off by walking up 414 steps to share the view of Florence from above with us, absolutely spectacular!

Everyone say hello to Sune, she is currently a 3rd year graphic design student at Inscape design College in Woodstock. Besides a major coffee & tea addiction she is extremely passionate about design and Instagramming in her free time – feeling the need to constantly capture beautiful things & share it with others.

You’re going to get to know Sune a whole lot better this weekend as we gave her the keys to our Instagram account and let her takeover to share her adventure seeking ways and love of exploring all the little treasures of Cape Town!

We’re also very excited to announce that Sune will be the very first Nifty intern starting on the 7th of July – we cannot wait to have her in the office, sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of her photos..

We’re doing something new with Nifty’s Instagram account – every weekend we’re going to be handing it over to one of our favourite Instagrammers for them to share their life, love, city, holiday & cappuccino shots. Hopefully for you, you’ll discover some great new and inspiring people to follow – the first and most obvious person to takeover the account was of course Kristen Duff. You may recognise this beautiful redhead from our Instagram account, or her name may be familiar to you as she hand wrote a large percentage of all the personalised letters in your Nifty orders for the past 4 months.
