We were so excited to have the wonderful Amy Scheepers take over our Instagram account this weekend, she happens to be a professional photographer – so we knew we were in good hands, plus her Instagram account is one of our favourites, it’s so beautifully curated. Amy is the blogger behind Fancy Pants which is part of the TGETHER blog network, runs blog classes – BBLOGCLASS, and she’s also just launched her own YouTube channel and we can’t wait to see the magical videos she puts together like this one, Wave Hunting.
We caught up with Amy to find out about her greatest extravagances, favourite Cape Town spots (she recently moved here), The Creamery ice-cream flavours she can’t live without, and which beach you’ll find her on this summer!
We first came across Ross Symons origami when, while going through some of our orders for the day we noticed the most incredible stash of colourful animal origami. We posted the photo on our Instagram and people were quick to point out they were in fact created by Capetonian paper shaper @white_onrice. Ross passed the half way mark of his 365 project 5 weeks ago, and has created the most beautiful origami, from tiny cranes, beetles, camels, the pyramids of Egypt all the way to brand logos including those of Hello Pretty (which took 120 min to fold), Nike, Adidas, Facebook and Gmail. We’re not so subtly hinting that we would love to see an Instagram logo or Nifty ‘N’ pop up on his feed sometime #yespleaseandthankyou.

We’ve been green with envy following Keagan’s Greece trip, after 3 weeks of watching & liking, we had to have her take over our Instagram account for the weekend. By day Keagan works in PR for Adidas South Africa, and by night she is the curator and blogger behind Gold Creatures which features lookposts by herself as well as that of her boyfriend. She graduated from Fedisa school of fashion design last year – fashion, photography, design and illustration are her passions. She likes to think that her kitten keeps her grounded and sane. We caught up with Keagan to chat blogging, favourite Instagram editing apps, Greek food & Oppikoppi

Paul Ballen (@Paul_Ballen on Instagram) isn’t known as the ‘Ice Cream King’ for nothing, we’ve sampled his ice-cream for ourselves, and oh yes, it totes did blow our mind. What’s most impressive about Paul and his not-so-little-business is that it started out as a bit of a passion project, which via word of mouth, or should we say social networking – mainly Twitter & Instagram now has now grown to have a bit of a cult following. His flavours are beyond anything you could buy at the supermarket, and every week he seems to create a new ‘must have’ – which when you’re talking about ice-cream is pretty much every flavour. We caught up with Paul to talk about some of his favourite things besides ice-cream, licking the bowl clean and how he has used Instagram to create a loyal following and thus a business.

Raoul de Jongh’s Instagrams make us want to put on our running shoes and run into the great big unknown, or on other days, grab a bicycle and just hit the open road. Raoul is the blogger behind Urban Ninja, and strives to embody the following characters; gentleman, adventurer, friend, husband, student & storyteller. He also may or may not know a thing or two about the Puma #secretrunningsociety, but then again it’s a secret for a reason.. We had a little chat about his favourite trails in Cape Town and what exactly switch-back doping is!
