Oh hiiii Carlin aka @campsbaygirl & @superficialgirl love this #niftycolourproject yellow photo – playing in fields of gold
This yellow week was week 4 of the Nifty Colour Project and there are nearly 700 photos on Instagram with the hashtag, insane crazy! Yellow has been our favourite week thus far, the official colour of Cape Town Design Capital 2014 we got so many beautiful submissions, that we picked 10 winners this week, and there were so many others we would have loved to feature too.. Have a look through the blog post to see some of our favourite photos from the week
Thanks to everyone who played along with the #NiftyColourProject this week, can’t believe there are already 98 photos on the hashtag! We chose 4 winners, they were @helenevaerlien, @femmegypsy, @noorunisaphotography & @moniqueheyden – scroll down to the bottom of this post to see their winning photographs
From Monday the new #NiftyColourProject colour is red, so get snapping this weekend and start sharing your favourite red things with us. All images that we love and regram on our profile will win a x20 polaroid-style Nifty print voucher (delivery not included), it’s that simple!
Currently sitting at the Nifty studio and very excited to be launching the Nifty Colour Project #niftycolourproject – something we’ve wanted to do for ages, what exactly is that you ask? We want to turn our Instagram account into a beautiful rainbow of colourful photos, each week for 8 weeks, we’ll be uploading photos where a specific colour dominates the photos. You can join in the fun by uploading (to Instagram) your own photo with that colour, if we love your photo and regram it you’ll win a Nifty voucher for x20 polaroid-style prints – this doesn’t include delivery.
*Some weeks we may only regram one photo, another week we may regram 10 – it really depends on if a photo catches our eye, and we love it enough to feature on our profile!
We’re starting the Nifty Colour Project this week with a rainbow of colours, get involved and show us yours by including the hashtag #NiftyColourProject, if your account is private please tag us in the photo so we can see it – it’s as simple as that
One of the biggest requests we get from customers, once they’ve ordered their prints – is to show them what to do with them! Well there are a million different things and ways you could go, and we’ve some seen beautiful ones on Instagram, from full on Nifty polaroid walls, to strung up as bunting at parties, to great frames.
Besides printing photographs we also do enjoy a little DIY, and Typo is one of our absolute favourite stores, obsessed with everything much? So we decided to collaborate with Typo on a series of what-to-do-with-your-Nifty-prints-DIY-blog-posts, what’s in it for you? Well a R500 Typo voucher. We’re going to be showing you our DIYs, and you’ve got to show us yours by including the hashtag #NiftyxTypoDIY on your Instagram post. Our favourite DIY will win the voucher, it’s as simple as that. The competition will be open for the next month – ending 17 August so you have plenty of time to order some more Nifty prints, get crafty and show us how it’s done!
Thought we would share the #NiftyNoMU winners with you – a big thank you to everyone who entered, we absolutely loved your chocoholic photos which had us rushing to the kitchen to create even more decadent hot chocolates.. Talya’s favourite version consisted of NoMU Skinny hot chocolate + 1t peanut butter + 1t coffee + soya/almond milk, then frothed to perfection with an Aerolatte, Kristen brought the best crush cups to work by Revol – they’re available from YuppieChef in SA.
A few people asked how we choose the winners for our competitions, we almost never have random draws as we like to reward those who have put the most effort into their photos. We then base our decision on the quality of the photograph, composition, filter used, added extras (like a few sneaky Nifty prints) and engagement with the brand for the duration of the competition. The winners this time won the most ahmazing hampers from NoMU, here is who they are..
