The ultimate instatraveller: Sarah Duff

Sarah Duff (@travellingduff on Instagram) is a freelance travel writer and photographer from Cape Town who says she is happiest when on the road with her camera. As the editor of Peregrine and former web editor of Getaway magazine, she’s seen her fair share of exciting and exotic places and is about to embark on her greatest adventure yet: traveling around the globe for an entire year! Sarah uses Instagram to share her travels, and us desk-bound folk can’t wait to see what she gets up to in the coming months (though admittedly we’re a tad envious!). Before jetting off, Sarah was kind enough to take a break from packing for her trip to answer some of our questions about her job as a professional traveller:

Erato A/W 2014

eratoSP002If you follow us on Instagram you may have noticed that the past week we’ve been a tad busy social printing live all over the town! The second event this week was the launch for Erato‘s A/W collection of luscious handbags and shoes. If you haven’t checked it out yet, Erato is a fully online and proudly South African e-commerce store (like us, yay!) and we can’t wait to shop the new collection when it becomes available on the site. In the meantime go on and take a peek at our snaps from the evening..

Dove 100 Colours

On Tuesday Dove invited us to work our live hashtag printing magic at their 100 Colours event, held in a private venue at the ultra luxurious Twelve Apostles hotel. Bloggers and media came through to celebrate the launch of Dove’s new invisible deodorant, which has been tested on 100 different colours and is guaranteed to leave no white marks (I can’t say it’s really something that comes up in conversation a lot, but you have to admit, deo marks on clothing are a real downer – thank you Dove for fixing this problem!). Beyond hanging out with some of our fav bloggers which is always good fun, it was a real pleasure to be part of the event as everything was perfectly planned and executed, from the whimsical décor to the tasty treats including a self-service jelly bean bar (next level shiz).

As the gentrification of Woodstock continues, so do the culinary choices on offer around the neighbourhood. Yesterday we were among the first cheese lovers in Cape Town to experience the gooey goodness of Woodstock’s latest offering: piping-hot grilled cheese sarmies, delivered to your desk and thus, your face – as the Twitter bio of The Grilled Cheese Club sagely informs us.
